Direct Use of Secret Key in Quantum Cryptography
نویسنده
چکیده
For single-photon quantum key generation between two users, it is shown that for collective attacks the use of a shared secret key extended via a pseudo-random number generator may simultaneously enhance the security and efficiency of the cryptosystem. This effect arises from the intrinsic performance difference between quantum detectors with versus without knowledge of the key, a purely quantum ∗Email: [email protected]

Economically Improving Message-Unilaterally-Transmitted Quantum Secure Direct Communication to Realize Two-Way Communication
We present a subtle idea to economically improve message-unilaterally-transmitted quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) protocols to realize two-way secure direct communication. Suppose Alice and Bob securely share a secret key. When the message sender, say, Alice, wants to send her secret messages to Bob, she can first use the secret key to encrypt her secret messages, then she publicly s...
متن کاملKey Distribution versus Key Enhancement in Quantum Cryptography
It has been said that quantum cryptography in general o ers a secure solution to the problem of key enhancement. This means that two parties who already share a small secret key, can use quantum protocols to establish a new large secret key. This large secret key can be arbitrarily long and is unbreakable. Thus, to date, the main contribution of quantum cryptography has been believed to be quan...
متن کاملSecret Key Generation and Eavesdropping detection using Quantum Cryptography
Quantum Cryptography is based upon the use of quantum effects and extends those effects for conventional cryptographic methods. The two major advantages of quantum cryptography over conventional cryptography are true random secret key generation and eavesdropping detection. Quantum cryptography has been developed which promises more secure communication than any existing technique and cannot be...

متن کاملEfficient Two-Party Quantum Secret Key-Sharing Protocol
Quantum secret sharing (QSS), quantum secure direct communication, and quantum teleportation, which are all included under quantum key distribution, are used to share or distribute a secure key in a quantum environment. We emphasize cooperation between communicating parties to eliminate un-trustworthy members and to improve the strength of the key.
